Anyone out there ever try to setup AOLPlus DSL through Verizon on a win2K Pro box?
A typical walk through the crap session with AOL tech support (what they call it - not me) and no one can figure out why the WinPoet DSL adapter will not show its ugly face in Windows 2000. Worked fine under Win98 but did a fresh install of Win 2000 on a new box and DSL will not appear. AOL people actually stated....are you ready....that the problem may lie with the quality of the power coming into the building. When I asked for a senior tech (one around for more than a week)he put me on hold but he really hung up. I guess that was after I made a poor remark to him after the power statement.
If anyone out there has ever walked this plank, I would appreciate you sharing your disaster story or possibly a solution that you may have discovered. I promise I won't tell AOL if you have a solution. It's a good customer and I would like to get him up and running.
Thanks in advance.
