If I remember correctly, of the standard protocols NetBEUI is fastest, followed by IPX and then TCP/IP. (can anyone confirm this?) So theretically, if you have to use IPX and TCP/IP on a NIC, guess which protocol starts boradcasting first? Sandman72 November 26th, 2001, 02:20 PM Generally the one listed first is the primary protocol. In win2k if memory serves me correct there is a button to move a protocol up or down the list Chupaweed November 27th, 2001, 02:16 PM Thanx for the info :) widget November 30th, 2001, 01:27 PM Just wanted to add this tidbit of info...The more protocols your NIC had bound to it the slower your connect is, so if you are not using IPX/IPX (Netware) or NETBEUI (Win 9.x) remove them. windrivers.com
