We have a Client/Server network running WIN NT 4 on the server and W2K Pro on 6 workstations. I have a SonicWall SOHO 10 port firewall connecting 2 systems and the server linked to a NetGear Switch about 30 feet away in another room connecting the other 4 systems. Currently we are running DHCP and allowing the sonicwall to assign IP's. Would it be better and how much work is involved to switch to Static IP's. We are getting ready to switch to a different ADSL company and if I'm giong to change anything it needs to be now?

IMO it wouldn't be better to change to static ips unless you had a specific need to....such as running a web server, email server, ftp server.
granted you have a limited # of workstations but as far as management and system configuration goes I'd leave dhcp in place
