Dump IPX and use either the NetBEUI or TCP/IP protocol instead. Maybe that'll fix the problem... http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smilies/cwm17.gif

http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smilies/cwm15.gif I've had a lot of problems with Hp computers restarting on me. It might not be the lan or protocol at all. In fact, as you may already know games tend to be labor intensive on the processor, raising the temp of it. If you are not afraid of voiding any warranties, you might try opening up your 700 and checking the cpu fan making sure that all wires are clear of the blades and that the fan is functioning properly. Keep me posted.
