Here is my situation...

Linksys 4 port router hooked up to a cable modem. 2 PC's (a & b both WinXP) are linked to the router, 1 other PC (c Win 2000Pro.) is linked to a 8 port hub with is connected to the router. PC's "a" and "b" can share files and "see" each other. PC "c" can connect to the Internet, but I cannot ping PC's "a" or "b" from "c". PC's "a" and "b" can ping PC "c". I have installed the same protocols on all machines. What could I be missing?? TIA!!

if using tcp/ip in ur net are the addresses used in the same subnet? Are u pushing ur ip through the router to host somthing like an IIS server, therefore u have 2 or more public ip's?

Just a thought to help get u thinking 'inside' the box...

IS the hub connected to the uplink port on teh router
if not then connect it that way

then you should be able to share files and surf teh net on all three

i have same setup and it works fine

But, the PC that is connected to the hub can surf the net no prob. In fact last nite I was able to have a session of C&C Red Alert runnning on all three machines as a network game... ...so I am a little baffled. I will switch to the uplink port and try that. Thanks!
