Do some searches on the net for general info on a T1. The amount of dial-up's depends on how good of an ISP you want to be. The maximum is virtually limitless--you can always divide the bandwidth.

It depends on how much data is on your web site. To make it extremely simple, if your web page with graphics was 33.6Kbits in size, 44 users would consume 100% of your bandwidth with 33.6 modems in one second. In 1 minute you could serve 2640 users. As you change the amount of data that will be served to your users you change this equasion.

If you want to get more sophistocated you have to perform a statistical analysis on when users will be connecting so that you can plan for maximum traffic rates for any given time.

Your best resource may be your local T1/internet providor. Call them up, tell them what you have in mind and they may be able to tell you everything you need to know.

..just math. A T1 has about 1440000 bits of bandwidth. A 33.6 dialup user has 33600 bits of bandwidth. 1440000 / 33600 = 42.85 connections.
