I can't find this anywhere I'm looking for version G or greater, sony's website has defeated me, I found it in german but it timed out I think?!

Sony only publish firmware if they consider something wrong, so I guess that's why its hard to find. I have a newer unit that will do 'things' the other can't, I'd like them to be the same please :(

Well thanks for the effort Freddy, I know there is a newer firmware, I have one unit 1.0e and and another 1.0g, I know there is also 1.0j but where are they published?

Like I say sony only publish 'new' firmware when they locate a major fault.

Twenty odd e-mails later, a few phone calls & all I have to say is you w**kers!!

Sony policy is apparently not to offer any firmware (so how come I can find firmware for almost every other sony CDR??), you need to send the unit off to get them to load the firmware, if your unit is more than a year old you pay.

Worse still they wanted £65 (about $100 usd), I don't suppose it occured to them that I can buy a new unit for that. So I will & not f***ing Sony ever, ever, ever again.....

I feel better now.
