OK, it started when I did a clean install of XP. After that, I couldn't watch DVD's on my computer anymore. the error message says that there is a problem with the copy-protection on the DVD Drive. I called Samsung about it, and the tech I got was VERY unhelpful, to the point of insisting I was wrong. (It says the drive has problems, I told him that, and he said it wasn't the drive. whatever.)
anyways, I'm using the XP version of DVMatics, so I know I have the latest software. The tech guy suggested a different dvd software.
So is it drivers, or software, or hardware? anyone ever seen this?

Gives the German manual for the application,I dont read German so it may not help.
There is mention of the inclusion of inbult security features in the software [below] so you might want to try a different player to see if its a software problem.
