creative 8x4x32 and Nero , problems waiting to happen!

I don't know if any one else out there has been running into this problem with the 8x4x32 creative hardw/softw package but I am so over the constant buffer overruns. I've been stuck having to sell these things for over three monthes and maybe 1 out of three actually work. so stay away if you can!

I had the same problem with the creative burners... Almost every one I bought from my vendor didn't work, finally I started trying them on fresh installs of Windows, and still I had the same problems sometimes, so I tried different motherboards, I went out and got a ABIT KT7A Board, and I haven't had a single problem with another burner since, so my conclusion is that it has something to do with the Motherboard your using.

I had the same problem with my HP9100i CD Writer until I switched to run in DMA mode. You might want to try that and see if it fixes your problem... http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smilies/cwm35.gif
