Hello,
I am trying to create a floppy Windows startup disk for a portable Sony that uses a 3rd-party PCMCIA CD-ROM (Microtech). The Sony procedure tells me add the drivers for my CD-ROM to the autoexec.bat. But no drivers came with the unit, it plugs and plays. And in the Control panel, under system the CD-ROM item lists a Toshiba CD-ROM XM-1802D and says that the driver is a Windows driver. Going to the Toshiba site tells me the same thing. So does anyone know how I can get the drivers unto the backup startup disk?
TIA,
Bruce

You didn't mention what model number of MicroTech. Anyway, follow the link below...CD-ROM drivers are located via the Download Archives link at the lower part of that webpage.

http://www.microtechint.com/downloads/downloads.html

Hopefully, when you unzip that file, it will have all of your drivers and MSCDEX.exe.

Good Luck!
