when installing new hardware under w95a I am reqyested to insert disk 5 for file
MKECR5xx.mpd.win95_05.cab
I now have W95 OCR b on cdr
anyone have this driver?
setup is creative 2speed cdr 563 B with CT1810 interface board (MKE -panasonic interface on 386-40

This is a standard driver built into Windows for the Panasonic CR56x CD-ROMs.
There are several ways to sort out the chicken-or-egg situation of needing a CD-ROM to get the CD-ROM driver.
First I'd suggest pointing the installer dialog at C:\windows\system\iosubsys\ , as this is where the driver should be if it has already been copied onto the hard drive and Windows isn't smart enough to find it (it happens) ...
Also the driver would be downloadable from sources such as driverguide or Panasonic (Matsus h i ta) support site.
The commonest way to get it from the CD is to temporarily connect a standard ATAPI (IDE Interface) CD-ROM to get CD access.
Another way is to use EXTRACT on another system to get the file from the CD, instructions here:
