I need to know where to get an update for VMWAUDIO.vxd driver, version 4.04.00.9900

I have downloaded the 20D driver download from IBM and the DirectX download from Microsoft. Where can I get this update from. My CD-ROM will not play music cd's and in some applications the sound is choppy.
