CDU33A-01

I am installing a Sony CDU33A-01 cdrom. The ribbon is inserted into a Media Vision mva508 sound card. The system is Windows 3.1 on an ACERPOWER 425s I have downloaded the correct drivers, however, the error message still reads CD Rom Drive Not Ready. I hope someone can help.

Download the DOS configuration or drivers for the sound card.
In MS DOS MODE, run the configuration program.
Find out what port the onboard ide is on.

There should be a text file with your cd rom driver explaining how to specify a port in the config.sys

Other than that, try to setup the cd rom on the ide bus.
