I spent six years active duty in the Navy. Three years of that was sea-duty onboard aircraft carriers...went on two different Indian Ocean cruises. Worked as a bench tech on A-6E fire control radar. Made E-6 right before I got out.
BTW, I literally tripled my salary by getting out of the Nav...

6 years Army Medic. Did 6 months in Beirut in the late 70's.

15 years in the Navy. Mostly WestPac. 2 years on USS Midway. A year on Diego Garcia. Lots of time on top of a mountain in the Philippines (loved it!!)

USN AQF8 Started on A3s and F8s then F4s and up through the F-teens. Finally got in GMU-7 and got away from Fighters, Loved R&D.

70's?.. I wasnt even an itch in my old mans crotch at that stage..
I tried to sign up for service when I was 17 (way back when I was fit enough) and I couldng get in.
