One interesting thing the article never states is where in the hell were the parents?

The eldest is 15. Certainly old enough to be left in charge. We don't know anything else about the background of this family. As I've said a zillion times before, it's not fair to assume the parents did something horribly wrong. Sometimes people just do bad things for very bizarre reasons....when a 30 year old kills someone, do we immediately start looking for the parents? And this stuff has been going on for centuries, I remember a similar incident that happened in my neighborhood when I was a kid in the late 50's. News just travels faster/further these days..... :(

Some people are just inherintly evil, fortunatly most of them just go into management or customer service or sell perfume and makeup at Foley's and Dillards in the local mall. Then some people are just good by nature, and the rest of us are in the middle just trying to figure stuff out. I agree that you can't always blame the parents. I just feel these were evil kids, that will grow up and try to be supervillians.

There is a famous case here - the Murder of Jamie Bulger... Those "children" are now young adults and have been given new identities.. What ALL the families involved went through I have no idea. Synopsis here
I DO know however, that watching my 3 year old bait my 10 year old to the point where she is about to lose it completely worries very much indeed. No amount of explaining seems to enable her to take a step back and see she is being teased. Slowly, she is getting better, I am beginning to see that its taking longer for her to become angry. Why do I let it continue? Heh if you ask that, you DON'T have kids. ;)

Yeah, they made that into an episode on Law & Order...two girls, about 13, lured the boy away from his apt..then beat and killed him, then they stuck the batteries in his mouth to try to revive him...

It sounds like they were living in a cartoon.
I think more and more parents are starting to take an active role in teaching their kids for reasons like this.

The little bastards should be thrown in a hole and forgotten about. 10 and especially 15 is old enough to know that what they done was wrong...I dont care what their motive was. There is no reason to kill a 6 year old child

Not gonna go too much into this, the debate could rage forever. I don't necessarily say its the parents, I agree that when someone of 30 kills someone you don't look at the parents. I don't know what it is.
But I have a 6 year old...and this hits close due to that...how HORRIBLE. I will give my lil guy an extra hug tonite!
