So what would you like to see made into a movie.

I've always wanted a nice Voltron movie (still animated of course) that I could sit in a theater for 2 hours and watch. Anything you would enjoy?

The Buffy The Vampire Slayer second movie, but I also don't want to see it, because it will mean the end of the series.

You know, that makes me really want a movie for Quake 3. That would be pretty smooth. I remember this year a movie was made (I believe by ID) for their annual gathering that wasn't too long but it was cool as hell. Does anyone remember this and/or know where I can get it. It was available for download but I haven't been able to find it.

The Eternal Champion series of books by Michael Moorcock. A few years ago Wendy Pini, creator of Elf Quest had started on an animated feature featuring Elric of Melnibone, but nothing ever came of it.

The Dragon Lance books would make a movie..

How about a Mariah Carey vs Celine Dion fight to the death --- with spoons. I'd pay thousands to see that. :D :D :D

Or a film about the day that the Germans realised that David Hasselholf isn't cool and can't sing.

Hey this is a cool question. I'm off to ponder.

"The Transformers" movie. Like a part II or something. I know part 1 has already been done, but it would be cool to see a new one with Final Fantasy kind of graphics. Maybe make it look as realistic as possible. And I want to see Optimus, and Megatron. Not those new "Beastwars" things or whatever.

More CHESS movies!

Tropic of Capricorn by Henry Miller. (directed by Marty Scorcese)

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty (not sure if I got the title exactly right) by Anne Rice. Early work done under a different name-- this is the sexiest book on planet earth; mmm mmm good. :) (directed by Steven Soderberg or Neil Jordan)

I'd like to see a movie based in space, among the stars, about a war, perhaps one a long time ago, and it would probably also need to be far away too. There could be aliens, and orphens, and strange little green fellows, with pointy ears. They could all have some sort of magical powers.. I'd call it "The Push", and there would have to be a good side, and a bad side. Maybe they could even get a few movies out of the one idea.. but odds on, they would lose the plot after 2 or 3 of them...

I think I would like it to be called: "Space Confrontation" ... yeah .. catchy ..

I would like to see R. Heinlein's Starship Troopers (not that travesty that was made a few years back) redone in a manner more true to the book.

"Ringworld", by all means.

Otherwise, I'd like to see "Lucifer's Hammer" done on the big screen; but not in the typical Hollywood style (Like Armageddon or Deep Impact)...needs to be done true to the novel.

Well I'll have to second the Transformers movie and the Shadowrun movie.

I've heard rumors about a "True Lies 2" possibly being made, but I think it died.

I'd like to see a movie based off the Fallout game. I'm not sure if a movie has been made from "Eyes of the Dragon" by Steven King, but that would be cool to watch. A good comedy would be a movie based on the "Space Quest" games.

Yeah, I don't mind when they make movies from complete ficticious stuff like AD&D, X-Men, Battletech, Shadowrun, or anything like that. JUST BE ACCURATE WITH IT! That's all I ask. It's really annoying when you find out that something like that comes to screen and it's made very poorly with bad actors and terrible screenplay. I know Dungeons & Dragons really bummed me out because it could've been so much better. Same with X-Men. Me and my friend went to see that movie and afterwards we really weren't sure what we had seen.

Cool idea. BLOOD AND SOULS for LYCIA! Terry Gillian or Tim Burton is dark and otherworldly enough to pull off the movie as long as Tim doesn’t sell out the anti-hero Batman style. Unfortunately Hollywood would bugger it. Jeremy Irons (great actor) would be screaming through the whole thing and Keanu (sp?) Definately the Elvenbane, the tagteam affair by Andre Norton and Mercedes Lackey

I wouldn't mind seeing half life in theaters, but I also think that another final fantasy movie is in order, but one actually based on the full storyline of a game, not the tripe they fed us with 'the spirits whithin'

Wolfenstein would be pretty cool, but number one on my list would definately have to be dragonlance

Dragons of autum twilight, of winter night, of summer flame
Time of the twins, test of the twins, war of the twins
all *very* exciting stories that would translate well onto the big screen, especially with teh technology found in LoTR
I just can't think of who could play raistlin though

Ok here goes nothing..

1. I'll second the Transformer's movie in CGI. Let's see what the new series (Transformers: Armada) brings.
2. A live action GIJoe was be awesome. With the effects they can produce today, it would look really good.
3. I'll also second the remake of Starship Troopers based on the novel. I like what SciFi did with the DUNE miniseries.
4. There NEEDS to be a Ghostbusters III!!!.
5. Ironman

I would like to see Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series come out. I never finished the entire series (only got halfway through the 7th book and my sister took it away from me because I wasn't reading fast enough and let one of her friends read it). It would be great if they stuck to the books.

James Patterson's CRADLE AND ALL would be an excellent one if the could stay to the book.
I would never want them to ruin Wheel of Time with a movie. I am rereading the series right now, and with all of the plot lines, and characters and other happenings, it would just be destroyed by Hollywood.
Guess I should read the book but I loved the movie Starship Troopers. It is campy, not serious and has some hot chicks. I also think I am the only one I have met that loved Mars Attacks as well.

Heck, they have enough comic books to look at for story lines....

Yea, I completely understand what you're saying. I used to always say that I would never want them to make a movie out of it, but now I think it would be kinda cool. But yea, there's no way they could do the books the justice that they deserve. The way that Jordan wrote those books is just incredible IMHO.

It has been a while since we had another Meatballs or Police Acadamy. I think we are do for one any day now.

Anyone think they will ever come out with a full length Simpsons?

I know! This plot has been dumped since the cold war but it would be perfect. Do another Red Dawn sort of thing. Commies take America and then we rise and crush them or we can do a movie on the cartoon "The Snorks".

That's true..now if only they would resurrect Firefly..although all the key actors are either dead or a lot older by now..it would probably look like an aged version of Star Trek as done by the Not Ready for Prime Time Players.

Hmm..you're right..for some reason I thought Ron Glass was dead..but I guess not..in the last episode of Firefly all the characters were still alive (objects in space) except for the unfortunate bounty hunter..

Didn't Serenity kind of put an end to the Firefly franchise? Very well made, excellent movie. :)

Nope..Serenity was actually intended to be the opening episode, and was released later due to fan demand..it wasn't shown on the series. The original series was plotted to last for 7 years..I would love to see what happens later.

How about both the Deathworld trilogy and the Stainless Steel Rat series by Harry Harrison? Old Man's War is pretty good as well...
