the new Thunderbirds aren't exactly in mass production either...aren't they only making a few thousand per year?
But wow they are cool...

I hit a pot hole in Misouri about 8 years ago that not only broke the rim, it bent the strut and the control arm.
BTW Fub, I have an 86 Cougar XR7 Turbo I'm restoring. I love that thing.

yea in 89, they only made like 2250 of the supercharged V6 cougs, and the color I got is a "more rare" than the others (dark blueish/black) then I'll have 2 'birds' -- a v8 bird and a supercharged coug :D
You might wanna check out www.tccoa.com -- they got TONS of stuff for birds and cougs (birds and cats :D ) For some very, very strange reasons the old fox body turbos seem to live forever...one guy had his 300k miles with out a nich (and he NEVER serviced the turbo! )
anyway, since yer in ohio, drop me an email or send one of those personal message things -- another guy and I have been workin around for a few months -- he knows 1000x more than I do about it (he's got a 96, black, v8), so he'd be able to help ya with just about everything -- ...and you'll learn the greatness of Jerry assuming you really, really wanna get into it.

You oughta try dropping the front wheel of a 3-wheeler in one. Wheel was fine - lucky I run on steels (never been an alloy man).
The real problem arises when you get out of the hole and wonder which direction the front wheel's pointing, and how to get both the back ones on the ground.

Man we are in Pot Hole mainia here in Michigan.
They always are working on the roads. And they still end up looking like they never touched them. Probably never did anyway.

lil update -- got the rim (58 after tax), gettin it put on now (said it'd be like 2 hours to get to my car)
BUT! at the place I got it, they had a TON of 'bridie' parts -- including a DOHC V8 (same one they put in the mustang cobra) for 650 bucks. :D :D :D
Mixed blessing? The car gods decided I needed a good shemack in the head to find good parts.

I had 189k on mine when the turbo blew a big puff of smoke and went bye-bye. I figured it would be a good time to restore the whole thing... with a few mods
:D
Anyone ever overclock a 2.3L four cylinder??? :D :D
