saw this on the AxionTech website a couple of days ago, and it made me think, do I want to go ahead and get one of the GeForce 3 boards to go in my new pc, or do I want to wait.....tough decision. here's the article

Wait for the GeForce4 to come out, not necessarily so you can buy one, but so the GeForce3s will drop in price.

Or get an ATI Radeon 8500 and save even more money when the prices drop :D :D :D :D

Also, ATI's R300 is coming up soon also...

What about the Hercules cards/ I hear they're pretty good.

I'm very satisfied with my GeForce 2 card.

actually, i had ordered a leadtek geforce 3, but they shipped the wrong model, and were out of stock of the model i wanted. so i'm thinkin i'll just wait a while and see what things look like in a couple of months

Are there any 8X AGP motherboards available?

No but NVIDIA is making chipsets now, they will probably put AGP 8x into their next nForce chipset..

It's pretty useless to upgrade to AGP 8x especially when the card, frmo what i've heard, can't be used on anything less than AGP 4x..it makes no difference in performance either-- to achieve a better overclock I switched mine to AGP 1x and it took about 50 points off my already stellar 3DMark scores

dats right!! the difference between 1x and 4x is...2 fps at best? 8x might push it to 3....oooooo!!!
