If it is as legit as they claim, it could be a great way for the citizens (non-political) of the world to realize the truth.

I'm sure we'd all agree that there are governments that don't tell the 100% truth to its people (I'm sure the US does it), and it could pave the way for the world to see each other as people, not drones that their government likes to paint them as.

I'm sure if it becomes big, you could see some uprising in countries that restrict human rights, freedom etc...
(Also, coincidently, these counteries are the ones causing problems, Iraq etc...)

What do you think?

( I also have to admit, being a hacker could be a great job, who else would be more qualified as a high level network security admin, or work for a firewall software company? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> )

I do have to admit, too, I can easily see the opprotunity to turn it against corperations etc.. and create a mess with it...

Read about that over the weekend and I thought it was a pretty good idea - but then I'm a "privacy first, government second" kind of guy. :p

While it's true that such tools could be used for nefarious purposes, so can PCAnywhere, in a sense. OK, I'm reaching waaaaaay out there with this example, but you get my drift.

On the other hand, how far would you trust software "brought to you be the brains behind Back Orifice"?
