[RESOLVED] CD-ROM quit working

My CE-rom quit working. If I use the restore CD...it works so I know it operates. Windows98 does not PnP it...and I have no idea how to make it go. 1) it is present in the setup. 2) I have disconnected it, rebooted, connected back and rebooted. 3) In install...it says there is no CD player..so no software can be added.

OH....what can I do....?

what controller is it on? do you have the drivers installed so it can work in dos? if so, does it?
