Get this, a new service has been started in my home town of Liverpool called Dial-A-Booze. For £25 they will deliver a case of Stella Artois or Carling to your door any time of day or night!
I ordered a case last night at 3.30am and it was delivered at 3.50.
Now that's what I call service.
Do any of you have similar services in your home towns?

No :(
But what was really cool, when I went to North Carolina they have these converted car wash structures where you pull in and they have them lined with coolers full of booze. You just pull in and someone inside takes your order and they even load it in your trunk.
Saw a couple of liquor stores in Florida with a drive thru window too.

That's such a good idea, except here in the states they are not allowed to seel after 2am, well in PA thats the rule.

Pa is quite strict about alcohol rules. I get frazzled by the police all the time. I usually don't drik cause I know they watch practically everybody!! (Unfortunately I live a fairly small town so they know everybody too!)

Interesting that everyone remarks about PA, cause I live in PA (Bloomsburg) and we have multiple drive-through places and two places that deliver cases or kegs right to yer door!!

We can't buy hard stuff after 9pm here, and the state store doesn't open until 10am. PA is the worst state to be a drunk in.

Something similar. There's a small town in this state that's "dry". No liquor stores or bars.
It's an "old money" town. Meaning that on those rare occasions the bluebloods open their wallets, you get a distinct mildew odor and George Washington squints because the light hurts his eyes.
Anyway, one enterprising individual has started a business that restocks the liquor cabinets in your home. You call him up, place your order and he delivers and stocks the bar.

being in wisconsin, i think that has been tried before and an issue came up about id's or something like that. It's one hell of an idea. That would have to be number 1 on my speed dial.

I used to live in Florida and we had one of the drive thru style beer stores. It was shut down, it seems as long as you where old enough to drive they would serve you. They were also dealing in crystal meth as well.

Booze delivered to your door?...Great!!....They don't do that here, well not exactly, the local taxi company will bring your beer or whiskey to you for the price of the booze plus the cab fare!
Now if I could just find one of those work-at-home computer jobs that were NOT a scam, and I would never leave!!!

Hey Doc, do they deliver to Cambridgeshire?

I think a similar service was tried around my area, but they ran into too many problems because they didn't verify the age of the person placing the order properly. The law got after them, and rather than try to straighten it out, they shut down.

Hehe! No harm in asking I suppose!
The guy gave me a sh**t load of cards to pass around and printed on the reverse is: 'To our members we're the 4th Emergency Service'. LMAO.
Talked to the delivery guy last night - yes I need to be infused at least once in any 24hr period - and he said that they are going to start a membership thing that gives loyalty points for discounts on beer! They are also starting to do bar snacks and spirits.
This just gets better! :D
