I recently upgraded from Easy CD 4 to Easy CD 5 Platinum and since doing so each time I re-boot I get a "blue screen" during the boot just as the desktop shows but prior to getting icons appear.
The message says "The 32 bit driver CDRPWD (01)-0000AD23 has attempted to use a system service which is not loaded. It may be possible to continue normally. * Press any key to attempt to continue..."
I then must hit a key three times to get a small window (maybe 1/2" X 1/2") with a cursor aarow in it. Then the blue screen message comes back again. Hitting a key another three times brings up a normal desktop.
Any ideas on a remedy for this?
Paul

If you're not using W2K, uninstall ECDC 5.0, delete the Adaptec directory, and reinstall. There is also a patch to bring it up to 5.01 here:

If you still have problems, then maybe you could consider using Nero 5.5. It's all the rage!!! And far out and groovy too. *S*.

It has to do with the direct cd prpgram. If you install the other programs except for the direct cd and use the old version of direct cd.This should work if the other suggestions don't.
