After having a look at XP beta, I tried to uninstall and replace back the original ME. Now I have a boot menu which offers either ME or XP even though XP has been removed.

I have tried to use FDISK /MBR from a bootable floppy and it still doesn't clear it.

Any ideas please

You did fdick /mbr then
fdisk
then Format
then install?

Freudian slip? Is that where you say one thing and really mean a mother?

Seriously, have you tried installing Me and using tweakui to disable boot menu?
