If I load Win98se on a machine...and then install winxp home edition...will it give me dual boot options like win2k does??

Yes, just make sure they are on diffrent partitions. Still have 98se on mine.

YOu can have tehm on teh same partition, but it gets ugly real fast...

I was running a tripple boot

ME, 2000, and XP all on the same partition. They all worked fine, but my applications all got installed on C:\program files, and once I installed them in XP, they didn't want to work in ME or 2000. SO save yourself a headache and use separate partitions.

with this crap about XP allowing Microsoft "extracting" personal info from your system does anyone know if the registry is shared between 98/ME and XP. I don't want them knowing **** 'bout me...
