I have been trying over the last few weeks to post a Data Access Page on the web which links to a database in my web folder.

When I post the Access Page on the Web and open it, it looks to my C:\ for the Data Source!!

If I try to open the database sitting in my web folder I get a message saying "Path not found or you tried to open a database through a web folder".

If anyone has advice they could share I would be very grateful.

Thanks

Generally ASP is used to access databases through a web browser. I have not used the utility that Access provides to create browser based viewing of the DB, but I am sure if you looked at the code of the page it generates, you could redirect it to a url. If you don't have any luck here, you might try posting in the Web Design section.

If you're using Front Page, use the data results components, it's a load easier.

If not, you need a global declaration file, which the script reads to know where the database is.

Good luck
