oh where oh where could he be, with his ....


never mind i can't sing


anyway, in access 2000 none of the wizards are working on one of the comps at a school...i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling office, but that doesn't work, any suggestions

Hmmm...you had them selected when you installed, and no issues with the install? What brand machine is it?

Try doing a re-install, and make sure you are using a custom install, check wizards in all the application sub-groups. Make sure they are not red crossed or run from CD

Don't forget Add-in Manager in Excel too for the additional wizards and auto-save functions.

AND.. what version is it?

From the menu, click "Help", then "Show the Office Assistant"... :D

the comp is a F***ING dell, office 2k pro,

tried custom installation


tried format/reinstall os (no luck)

tried same office disc on other dell comps(same kind) worked fine


i want to go smack the guy who decided to buy a dell :eek:

The problem sounds related to the OEM build of Windows provided by DELL.

They have most likely installed a device driver or package of their own (OEMs always install **** that you don't want and won't ever use).

If the said software has installed newer, corrupted or faulty copies of the VB or C Runtime libraries then you might have an issue when Office apps try to use them.

The only way to be sure is to flatten a machine once more, install Windows from a retail CD and then install Office, finally testing again for the same problem. :)
