I im trying to install a ati tv wonder on pentium 300 with a trident 9750 video card each time i lauch the tv all i got is full screen vertical color bar and the computer hang the only way to recover is to power off power on the computer

I guess what you see is a OverLay errors.
the TV card sent the display card the info direct true DMA (AGP or PCI).
Try to set the VGA Pallet snoop in the bios to enabled. it might solve it.
