Would like to use an external battery. The power adapter provides a +5vdc. Would a 4.8 or 6vdc battery be OK to use?

DonJ June 22nd, 2001, 10:08 PM Go here for the parts listing for your Digital Camera. http://outfield.external.hp.com/cgi-bin/spi/main?sel_flg=modinfo&model=C500 Click on Keyword: Power Module. Basically, it says that you need 5 volts DC, with 2.0 amps of current. These requirements must be met. You might be able to go with a higher 6 volt battery but I really wouldn't want to mess around with something like that. I don't believe that a typical 6 volt lamp battery would not be able to handle the current requirements. You might want to check out http://www.battery-biz.com/ they have a huge selection of batteries... Good Luck! Don windrivers.com
