Visual Basic (http://www.a1vbcode.com/) Lots of free code...that's always good! opiate July 14th, 2001, 04:13 PM I would suggest reading a Visual Basic Beginners book. Just messing with code and not knowing what you are doing will give you a bad learning curve and you may develop bad programming practices. TRUST me on this one! It's kinda like waking up on the left side of the bed for 10 years and then one day you decide to get out on the right side. Bad programming practices are hard to break. I know! I just thought I would give you a heads up on that... Here is what I did when I went to learn VB. I bought a book Beginning Visual Basic 6, By Peter Write, published by http://wrox.com. The author is very entertaining throughout the book and he also gives you great lessons as you read through. After I mastered the basics of VB, I went on to database programming with Microsoft's ADO model, and also about the Win32 API. Good Luck, it will take you a while to pick it up, the hard part is not normally the coding; it's the logic behind your code. l8r, opiate windrivers.com
