Hi everyone

At work we have just connected to ADSL. After being on dial-up for a long time it has been a welcome change

We have a server (WinXP Pro) with shared folders, internet and resources already set up. It connects to ADSL directly and 3 other computers (2 XP Pro, 1 Win98SE) receive the internet through ICS (Internet Connection Sharing).

Everything is working perfectly, but I wish to set up some sort of security to limit the amount of data coming through (we have a 3 Gig limit per month)

On one of the Win XP Pro workstations, I wish to limit the amount of data being retrieved off the internet to a set limit each day.

Is there some sort of quota management I can use to limit this machine from downloading too much?

Thanks for your help in advance,

John M

I am not familiar with any third party Quota managment. Using ICS there is really NO control over the access. What is your budget, we maybe able to suggest something else.

I know the old version of zonealarm kept track of data going through it. But the new one I haven't seen that feature.

Sounds like a job for MS ISA server. Might not be worth the headache of setting it up though...

MS site can fill you in on the features.
