MILENKO! Q3 server & Stats...

Is it possible to have the stats page list the Windrivers members who are on Q3?
I noticed that there is a section for "buddy" lists, but it seems like noone here is specified, unless they're in the "top performers" (like Tish).

If its a real pain in the ares, then don't bother, this is mostly for curiosity sake, and if anyone else thinks this would be a waste, just say so.

All I know is that in the stats, the only category I'm listed in is "Suicides by lava" with 10 - that's good enough for 6th all time! :rolleyes: :D

Damn, according to those stats there are no certifiable railwhores from WD. I need to go get Q3 allready and teach you children what long range death is all about.

The reason that nobody uses the railgun is that the server is running the "Excessive" mod. What this mod does is:

1. Give a player 300 health and all weapons on respawn
2. Health and ammo levels regenerate at slow rates
3. There are no ammo or health items on the maps
4. Your own weapons don't hurt you, so you can do massively high grenade/rocket jumps without sacrificing any health
5. All the weapons fire at insane rates or have increased damaging properties.

With the excessive mod, the railgun fires like a machine gun - but it doesn't do a lot of damage, and it's hard to hit your target multiple times. The machine gun on the other hand, is very useful at long range.

BTW, you don't need to do anything to your local computer to use this mod. Just connect to a server and rock n roll. just play and you'll understand.... :D

Blast it, I've played excessive before and I did not enjoy myself. Makes the game completely spray 'n pray. Completely removes marksmanship, level knowledge, and tactics as elements of the game. Glad ya told me before I wasted any money.

Marksmanship, SMHARMSMINSHIP!!! WAAAA WAAAA WAAAAA!!! It is a simple mod that is simply fun to play. It is like an Arnold Schrwartzanaeger film, packed full of explosions.... on the right maps you are flying away through the air without a care. Its all meant to be fun!!! Pull that stick out of your arse, go buy the game and join in!!! It is meant for entertainment man!! Come on and shock us by taking us to school with the railgun. There are other awesome mods out there BESIDES Excessive....

Theres Quake 3 Fortress...
Theres Jail Break... (havent tried it yet but will soon)
Theres Rocket Arena... (go there if you want to show how big of a Billy Bad A$$ you are with the railgun)
Theres Freeze Tag...
Theres CTF...
Theres ABCDEFG... IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT ELSE THERE IS.... it is meant to have fun man.

I tell you what Jaeger, you go buy the game, join in on some Excessive and give it a go, and I will meet up with you online for some regular deathmatch... or Freeze Tag... or RA3... or whatever you pick.

IT IS MEANT TO HAVE SOME SIMPLE FUN. Period.

Dude, if you are worried about tactics, aint Quake 3 possibly the wrong game to play? Maybe you should Rogue Spear it or Ghost Recon it.

I think it was last week, where there were a few of us on, and we wern't machine gun rocketing each other. It was actually really good. Sniper shots, stealth, etc...

I loved it. (Its hard to be a sniper in a mega rocket/bfg / grenade match!)

I'm not sure yet why they aren't updating. I'm getting some weird allocation errors from the parser that outputs that webpage. I think it may actually just be a coincidence that they stopped working the same day the server went down. I think the real problem is the fact that the log file is 46 meg of asci text and the parser can't handle that much data.

I'm going to try to break the log apart and see what happens then. Until then, we're stuck on April 1st :(
