There is a "mode" of play called Tournament. In it, two people fight one on one. And after a certain amount of time, the winner stays and the loser goes... the next in line plays the winner.

OR...

You have a mod out for Quake 3 (been out since Quake 1 or 2... and it is an awesome mod too), called Rocket Arena. The whole idea, two fight it out one on one... the winner stays and the loser goes to the end of the line. The current Rocket Arena for Quake 3 has an integrated mp3 player. And if you want your arse handed to you before you even know what happened, try some Rocket Arena. The upside of it, you do pick up alot of skills and you will find your skills do get some polishing.

I highly suggest downloading Rocket Arena and playing it. You will get an arse whooping, but you do learn alot.

What you experienced last night on Milenko’s server was Quake 3 with the “excessive mod” all weapons – unlimited ammo etc. There are other servers with “team play” , limited ammo, weapons, health, etc.

Which video card are you using – and what are you other computer specs?

i traded it with my friend i gave him my voodoo 16mb for his nvidea 32 mb card.

as far as quake fort i never played it.

on TFC is like a military type game team play red vs. blue

characters

enginear = i rule as engie im the best
sniper = i rule as sniper im the best
heavy weapons guy
scout
medic = i rule as medic im the best
soldier
demoman
pyro
spy = i rule as spy im not the best yet

each character has a unique abilty if mastered you can be unstopable.

ive played other mods especially mods of UT but its still no TFC and always find myself going back to TFC.

Server is always on and usually I hop in there everyday to see if theres any new meat for the picking LOL
But sometimes theres no one there I just hop on Kali and look for another server. And I usually can show if when theres a game between some of us on Windrivers folks. Kinda got this little problem with my bod going on right now and I get a little tired earlier then I normally do and I fall asleep before anyone gets on.

We could draft up a rough schedule of the times devout Quakers are available for a match.

It looked like you tried to connect a couple of times last night. Taz was online for a short while, then I had to face Moticia by myself unitl Alchemist showed up and took some of the heat.

All in all, still had fun for about an hour.

On weekdays around 10pm CST for me; but that is not good form most others, so lately I have been trying to check in earlier.

Morticia is still the Queen of Q3; but I believe I am starting to show a little improvement. My goal = not to finish last. :cool:

this is a little bit off subject... but if any of you play Return To Castle Wolfenstien, or Star Trek Voyager Elite Force you can download this handy dandy utility that does the same thing as gamespy but with 70% less overhead. Maybe someone will make one for QIII since the other two games work off the same engine.

Yeah that idea sounded pretty good. I wish all servers had something like that to where you signed in on what hours is good play time for you then maybe others could like be there also.
