dma problem

hello i am running win 98 and had dma checked in my hd properties page i just did a reinstall and the dma box isnt there anymore can someone tell me how to get it back my hd is using 40.1% cpu resources is that alot

If you did a reinstall of Windows then you might also need to reinstall busmastering drivers for your IDE controller.
