Excessive - anyway to play single player with bots?
In other words, so I can practice practice practice with my new controller?
The other night I used the controller very little as the action was very intense. I found myself switching to the keyboard. I felt like I was in highschool, when I would look at my fingers during typing class -.

Download the Excessive client from Fileplanet (it will take you a half hour to download a file that comes down in about 1 minute). It is a zip file that you decompress to your Quake 3 directory. From there it drops three batch files in your main Quake 3 directory. The readme file will tell all about it. One is a single player batch file.

I have to practice, too. I played last night and got blown away. :D
I've put a copy of the file you need <a href="http://www3.sympatico.ca/corey.reynolds/files/excessive_q3_server_003.zip" target="_blank">on my server</a> so you don't have to go through the FilePlanet agony to download it.

Welcome to the world of Quake 3!-
Be careful of Morticia and Taz. They are the Queen and King of Q3 at least on Milenko's server ( :D )

You think Tish is the reigning queen there?

Darn. I missed out!
I was on shortly after 10PM EST and played Draggar and Lt. Cmdr Klarg, but I didn't see you.
I'll try to get some time in this weekend though. ;)

If you want to know when I'm around, just ICQ me at 100675968 and I'll put you on my "hit" list. Weeknights between 7 and 10 are best, if I'm actually home. If you're not a Q3A lord, then I'm probably a better person to play against. I can't compete with Tish and Taz. :p

How did I do (when I wasn't lagging or crashing)? :D
Seems to me I was winning when I crashed.

Those were some damn good games last night! Not the usual 100,000 rockets per second I'm used to.
But I think we were all snipers... ;)

I think it was a toss up between you and Draggar there for a while, but I really wasn't into it last night - I just plain sucked :(
BTW, MacGyver, I don't think anyone from WinDrivers can successfully challenge Taz and Morticia when they make up their mind to lay the smack down :p
I'll try to be on this evening.

Maybe we can somehow persuade Taz into joining our side and maybe, just maybe the rest of us might be a worthy opponent against Morticia. ;)
Looking forward to swapping a few frags with you MacGyver.
