Whenever I try to play online, I keep getting a "Connection Interrupted" error. I'm running over 512K DSL, so it's not a slow connection. Sometimes the game crashes totally.

Milenko's server is fun, but I can't really enjoy it until this f*ing problem is fixed.

Any ideas?!?

What is your network connection set at in the game?

If yer net connection in quake3 is set to a 56k modem, you could be hooked directly into a major backbone and still be laggy.

Good call Taz.

I have it set on the LAN/DSL/Cable setting.

Try setting it a notch lower....

then test it.... if it still lags, try going down one more notch. I am on a cable connection and I got it set to one notch below Cable/DSL.

The only other option if neither of those work, get cable! LOL Or play at LAN partys... lol

Tried that, didn't help.

Any other ideas?

I don't think this is a Quake 3 issue. It sounds like you have poor line quality. Go to www.dslreports.com and do a Tweak Test and then a Line Quality Test and see if that reveals any problems. Also try pinging the Quake 3 server quake3.king-nerd.com and also a traceroute.

I was wondering about that myself. Thanks for the link.
