[RESOLVED] cdrw scsi

anyone any idea how to get my cdrw working it is running on a gigabyte 5ax board and 350 amd k6 2 processor.Also it is plugged into a i will scsi card. If i unplug the power from the back of the cdrw then it finds the cdrw and it works perfectly but on boot up it is not there at all. I dont like unplugging the power from the back of the drive it is not a good idea. Could i install a switch on the power lead leading to the cdrw or would this not be recommended.
