Ok, guys, here is the situation...
I have an Abit Be6 motherboard. On my IDE2, there is a Yamaha CD/RW 4x4x14E, and while I was burning an image, I had to cancel the operation for some reason, and then my computer freezed. I said, what the hell, and rebooted.
Here is the situation....
I can be able to use my CD/RW at IDE2 it reads the CD, but Autorun doesn't play. So I thought there was something wrong with my CD/RW and installed my Sony 24X CDROM, but nothing changed, Plus when I try to run an application that requires CDROM, doesn't run and freezes my system again...
So I plugged my Sony into IDE1 as a slave device and it runs with no problem..At this point there is something wrong with my IDE2, but it's been only 1 month since I bought this motherboard and I have never heard of a CD/RW messing up the IDE port?

What do you think??

If you guys know any diagnistics software that can take a look at the situation, please let me know of the Web page that I can find it and its name...

Suggestions are appreciated..

Take care and thanx for your time for reading my stupid situation....
