Hey gang!
We have a Micron MV5000 Server and we've been getting error messages in WinNT 4 Server saying that errors have occurred on Scsi Port 2 and that the C drive has bad blocks and some other errors. When we reboot after the Blue screen of death, it comes up with message after POST saying that "Operating System Not Found" or "I/O error: Please insert a disk." When the system can get back up (usually after 5 tries) it runs chkdsk and says that the C drive is fine and that no bad blocks were found. What gives? We do not have RAID setup on the server so I think we have narrow it down to either the Scsi card or hard drive. Is there any diagnostic utilities that can check the scsi card for problems.
If anyone has any input into where we can find diagnostic tools or with our problem, please, please help!
Much appreciated,
JazzBass
