I was a dumbass and decided to wait till saturday to order my Radeon 9700 pro Gaming package from ATI. Some of you might know its sold out late Friday night.....now im looking frantically for a retailer that is currently shipping or has them in stock. ATI successfully shipped them to retailers on the 19th.....why arent they being SOLD YET?!?! Ebgames has an estimated shipping date of SEPTEMBER 19!!!! At least CompUSA expects the 28th of this month....BestBuy and Circuit City dont even have them on their website yet, and Googlegear is always late in the game....

Newegg is going to have them on the 31st.

They sound absolutely sweet, but I cant afford $400 on one, so I'm going to wait until NV30 comes out and prices plummet on the 9700.

Fubarian: Did you get the new Shuttle cube with the AGP slot? I can't wait for the AMD version of that thing...I wonder if it'll have nForce2

oh you bet I did. Its the only reason why I got one. hehe, 2 big bad comps' network name ...little boy and fat man :D

Heat is not a problem with that little thing -- I ran a 2.26 on saturday (I haven't bought a processor yet :() and she ran real quiet, real cold all day (I installed windows, ran a few benchmarks, the usual) I'm very happy with it ...now all I need is a 2.53ghz p4 and a 7200 hard drive...

Why don't you just overclock the 2.26G P4 ;)

If you want a 7200rpm drive get the Western Digital SE drive, I have the 80GB version and it rocks.

Yeah, I'd normally expect heat problems with an AMD in a space that small, but they've got an AMD cube without an AGP and it runs fine, in fact I know a few people running one :)

won't need to overclock, I'm gettin a 2.53ghz p4

As for an AMD version, would you run a amd off a 200w power supply (with 512m, 7200 hd, and a dvd drive)?
