Thanks! +Daemon+ October 2nd, 2002, 05:50 PM goto www.download.com look for popupkiller thats the name of the program. Also filtergate is another one thats good ahh here it is.. http://software.xfx.net/utilities/popupkiller/ shamus October 2nd, 2002, 06:24 PM Thanks +Daemon+ Quiet Thunder October 2nd, 2002, 06:32 PM Note: Norton Firewall 2003 has a pretty good popup blocker included in it. It's a gigantic improvement over Firewall 2002 and I'd highly reccomend upgrading if you are using 2002 and hate those pesky popups. Gabriel October 3rd, 2002, 07:06 AM Not exactly but close. Opera Browser has a buiiltin Popup Killer. Just press F12 and tell it to refuse popUp I use Opera. Akuma October 3rd, 2002, 07:37 AM Opera is good but it is not nearly as secure as IE. I use it for simple browsing but anything of any importance, I use IE Eagle PC Diagnostech October 3rd, 2002, 09:59 AM This one is free and works great It's called popup stopper http://www.panicware.com/product_downloads.html shamus October 3rd, 2002, 10:06 AM <b>That's </b> the one I remember being posted. Thanks for the link EPCD! Gollo October 3rd, 2002, 10:24 AM Originally posted by Eagle PC Diagnostech This one is free and works great It's called popup stopper http://www.panicware.com/product_downloads.html I second that. It kills any other IE window that opens. To bypass this (i.e. when you want to follow a link here on the forums or just open a new window) hold down the CTRL key and then clik. Also by a simple double clik you can disable it through the system tray. houseisland October 3rd, 2002, 06:06 PM Webwasher's current freeware version, V. 3.x?, is a vast improvement over earlier versions. It does a lot more than block pop-ups. Good stuff. Warning: it gives some software firewalls major indigestion -- Norton stuff up to 2002 in particular -- nothing that a re-install of the firewall won't cure, though. http://www.webwasher.com/en/products/wwash/download.htm addict October 4th, 2002, 11:16 PM Some feel we contribute to the world, some feel were the heart of the world!! It is free though! WebHead October 5th, 2002, 02:02 AM Personally, I think Earthlink's popup blocker tool is the best! (http://support.earthlink.net/support/DLOADCENTER/popup_blocker/) Earthlink may be a crappy ISP, but damn! do they know how to make a great, easy to use, effective popup blocker tool. Awesome I say. shamus October 5th, 2002, 09:10 AM Originally posted by addict Some feel we contribute to the world, some feel were the heart of the world!! Good thing I've already got it downloaded and stored here (www.clixstar.net/popup_blocker.exe) on my website for someone else to download. windrivers.com
