Hi all. It's been awhile but I can't find any info on this problem.
Client's computer - Win98SE, I.E 5.5 Sp2 with all current updates and patches. It's on cable. When you start it up with default login - ie: hit escape at the login box the system starts fine. You can start internet explorer and it surfs as it should. When you log on as a user (it has multiple users) and start internet explorer the "Web Zone content" displayed on the lower right of the browser shows "restricted zone" and you can't get to almost all websites. The links flash in the lower left at a zillion miles an hour, hitting stop sometimes helps but usually you have to exit internet explorer. When you click on tools>internet options>security under the web content zone the "internet zone" is missing. "Restricted zone" is shown on the left, then Intanet Zone and Trusted Sites. Where the heck did the "internet zone" go and how can I get it back?
This problem exists in all users except the default (administrator?) login.
The computer does have 4 different users (wife and kids)so the client can't tell me what any of them may have done.
NAV is updated and system is clean. AD-Aware was run and the normal villains done away with. Incredimail is installed - maybe that? Also tried to R & R I.E.5.5. No luck.
Is this an I.E problem or perhaps something in the user profiles?
