Hi guys,
I’m playing warcraft III and all of a sudden, BAM!!! My computer restarts. This happens once in awhile and I haven’t resolved the issue. I sent an email to blizzard and no help there. I found many other are having the same problems as well and most have the Gforce card and Asus mobo. But then some of them don’t. I found this info from various different forums. No one has yet found what is causing this problem.

I tried updating to the latest video driver, still the problem is there. Here are some things people have tried and worked for some of them:

- run wc3 in opengl mode (how do I do this?)
- make sure your bios is correctly detecting your agp aperature size
- you can also try lowering the settings to your video card (how do I do this?)
- try using your manufactures drivers of your video card rather than the detonators
- change refresh rate to "hardware default" (how do I do this?)

It sucks cause you put in about an hour of game play and it just restarts. I don’t have this problem with any of my other programs...

Latest BIOS update?
WinXP Pro SP1?
Not the "latest" detonator drivers unless they are the 30.82 off of Nvidia's site that are Windows certified.
Lowering your video card settings can be found in the Warcraft 3 program, under the video options.....
The refresh rate can be found on one of the tabs in the properties for your video card.

If some people are having the problem and some arent and they have the same motherboard, post on a forum board asking what version their BIOS is.

First instinct says BIOS update is needed since you didnt mention if you have the latest BIOS version.

Next would probably be video drivers.

After that, do you have problems with any other high end 3d games? If so, look at the chipset drivers for the AGP.
