I've a compaq desktoppro unit it was working perfectly a few day ago and till my younger brother decided he's going to format it and reinstalled windows all of that went fine but yesterday he tried to boot up the unit and it giving a 303- keyboard controller error, I 've tried several but I get the same result, I even tried a usb keyboard and get the same result, if i remove the keyboard the unit will boot up fine, but what good it that, I've reset the cmos but get the same result, can any one shed some light on this for me.

all the unit said that is a desktop pro. it a pii 400mhz but I donot think it need the keyboard softwear because it donot boot the error massage just popup on the screen 303 keyboard controller error.

A little more info would help out:
Which model of DeskPro do you have? Which version of Windows are you running?

Go here for Drivers & Downloads from Compaq's website. (http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/index.html)

They have Easy Access Keyboard software available for most models.

Let us know how it goes...Good Luck!

Edit: I was able to find this:
Compaq Easy Access Keyboard Software. (http://h18004.www1.hp.com/support/files/desktops/us/download/13575.html) Hopefully, it is for your particular model...
