I have a Win2k server and ten WinMe workstations with some of the stations which share out their printers. I have one Windows XP laptop and it only connects to the Win2k network printer and thats it is there anything I can do so it will recognize the other printers on the WinMe workstations?

Printers are shared out on the WinMe workstations but when I go to the Network Places or printer wizard the workstations show up but no printers are attached. This only happens on the XP Laptop.

These other printers are on a print server or attached to a workstation?

If attached to the workstation... then in my networkplaces you should be able to open the me station in question and if the printer is shared see the printer, double click the printer and the network printer wizard will start.

Print servers... I dont use.

This might help...

On the Win XP CD-ROM there is a utility which must be run on all Win 95/98/Me machines sharing a network with a Win XP machine. If you use the network setup utility on the XP machine it actually tells you to do this. I have found that without this utility it's impossible to share printers / files etc.

Even after running the utility setting up file & print share can be interesting!

Have fun!!!
