Hi,

I've got this huge problem on my Twinhead Notebook which is 5 months old.
Most of the time when I am on the internet using the build-in modem, I get this bluescreen for few seconds and it will auto restart.
However, when I am on the Internet using LAN, I NEVER once got the blue screen.
So I brought my notebook to the Twinhead service center. After a few days, they called me and told me that there is no problem. They said that they've tested the modem for hours. I am stunned and I don't know how to proof it to them.
I've tried formatting, reinstalling my OS, install service pack 1 for XP, install latest modem driver, flashing latest bios... but the problem still exists!

Is there anyway that I can save the blue screen or do something I can proof it to those people in twinhead?
I am a novice techie too and I know that if they tested without any problems, I am in no position to argue with them.
The most they will tell me to reformat again.. blah blah blah...

Can anyone help me out with this problem?
Thanks a lot in advanced!

Apologies, but I don't know the answer to your question, and yeah, intermittent problems are a bitch...

But there's another thing ya need to know, you're only supposed to post the same question once, not in two different places. Just a friendly note.

Good luck w/ the problem.

OK two things, first, is XP set to restart automatically? Check by right clicking my computer, propeties, advanced, startup and recovery, uncheck the automatically restart box.

Second, what is the exact error message on the bsod? If it goes by too fast then you have it set to automatically restart.

Okay, I will do that once I get my notebook back.
So by unchecking the automatically restart box, it won't restart when I get the bluescreen? That means I can at least write down the error right?

So far I am unable to write down the bluescreen error message due to my notebook restarts almost immediately after the bluescreen.
If I get the bluescreen error message, where can I refer to?

Yes unchecking the auto restart box will ensure that bsod stays there till you hit the power button :D

Woow!
Thanks for the prompt reply.

But do you know where can I refer the error message I get?

Now that's not so easy

Start with mskb and google and start reading articles, threads and generally looking at anything looks even vaguely similar.

Blue screens are usually about bad drivers, bad configuration of hardware or just plain bad hardware.
