Speedtouch probs

Happy Holidays to everyone. now i have a alcatel 510 adsl modem with NAT and firewall built-in. pre-configured from the ISP for what seems to be basic connection. i can ftp and open some ports for some file sharings apps i use, but i have been unable to get fserve on mirc to work as well as msn messenger(windows messenger) to send files. any help with configuring a speedtouch 510 would be greatly appreciated.
