Ben & Jerry used to do one called rainforest crunch... that was the best ever! Cashew and Brazil nut brittle in rich vanilla icecream... I have tried to make it myself, but never seem to get it quite right..

The full vermonty is ok.

Well it's not really a flavour preference but I had vanilla ice cream deep fried in a sort of sweet bread dough at a Thai restaurant over Christmas. Very sweet and great for the cholestoral levels.

Reminds me of living in Scotland and the deep fat fried pizzas that you could get from the chip shops. And they wonder why Scotland has a high incidence of heart disease?:(

No particular brand, but vanilla gets my vote too.

That way, I can top it or mix it anyway I like. :D

Anything from Ben and Jerry's is a close second.

I am a purist. Vanilla Edy's Homemade.

The best Ice Cream I ever had was the vanilla my grandfather made when he was alive. He put in a shot of rum every time.

It's important to practice good hygeine
At least if you wanna run with my team
I'm 'bout to get into some **** that I've seen
This fool's breath smell so bad it melt your ice cream
They say don't say nothing if you can't say nice things
Sittin' too close to the boy made my eyes sting
I tried to be subtle, hand him a stick of gum
I was a victim of breath on him
Running his yap about what sets he's from
Gotta get some gum gotta get him some
He turned it down, his teeth was brown
Excrutiating for him and it was a new sensation
I had to ask the dope to pass the soap
Cuz his toes had the stench of crustaceans
Or bathrooms in the bus stations
He had a can of Olde E and some raisins
Amazin' - head to toe B.O.
He didn't know, used to the fragrance
Cuz of the days went without bathin'
He felt manly and not like a maiden
He had one dread and fungus
Said he worked on people's toilets with plungers
Girls not the guy who you'd want to tongue ya
So guys take a cue from this little number.

Ben&Jerry's White Russian was the best stuff I've ever had. Of course, since I liked it, they stopped making it. Phish food is good stuff, too.

But, my great-grandfather said until his last day that he was still looking for bad ice cream. Maybe he shoulda tried some of the weird stuff they've got in Japan.

Ben & Jerrys FESTIVUS! It's only a holiday thing but I lived for it. I heard they discontinued it this season and I've already written a nasty letter to them about it.

It's cinnamon icecream, butterscotch swirls, gingerbread pieces.

My next favorite is Phish Food.

I think it's Bryers that makes that really good heavenly hash. Cherry Garcia is pretty damn good too. The an old dairy farm in Maine called Shaw's Ridge that makes their own Ice Cream. I'd have to say their chocolate is proabably the best Ice Cream I've ever had.

Vanilla, but not plain - drizzling some Maple Syrup over it puts it over the top.
