I have a problem.
I have a client who has 2 Mac's (Tbook & iMac) and 3 PC's. The use 802.11b to share DSL and network. The problem is that the 2 Mac's are in the gray zone for 802.11...sometimes they connect sometimes not. I would love to run cat5 but it is an old house (1890's) with additions added on (Big freakin mansion in mill valley) and running through the walls is not an option. I am looking for a Home PNA Nic that will work with a Tbook and an iMac...or possibaly a 802.11 repeater...
any help would greatly be appreciated.

John

ps. forgive the typo's...broken right hand and don't feel like fixin them, left handed typing sux.

How close are the two macs to each other? Anyways it's not cheap by anymeans but you could use another AP closer to the macs. You would set it up as a client that connects to the other AP (some ap's use repeater others use client. Same thing). This would broaden your coverage area.

We currently usa a Linksys wireless router to share DSL between the macs and pc's...The mac's are on different floors but are in identicle positions. Price is not a concerne...its a rich Dr. needing the work.

I would get another ap then and set it up to repeat or you could look at the new signal booster from linksys.
