has anyone a better way to get the final escape key stroke than ctrl+p then the escape key? Every time I add this command it locks fdisk up. Ctrl+p ctrl+m works fine, just need the final escape key so I can automate rebooting.

Why don't you try using a DOS re-boot utility like "reb.com" within your script?

Just a thought!
