I think this is the right forum.......

Someone may know why this is happening and give me a quick and easy answer I hope.

I have a four PC network at home. 3 are gaming machines, the 4th is not. We can game on line no probs with two, excellent pings etc. Connect the third, any combination, and it starts off fine for a few mins, then lags like hell on all PCs. Take any one off line and all is well again.
All PCs Asus mobos, XP 2000, 512DDr, XP Pro, Geforce4 or 2 etc. All run fine and well usually. 600k cable, Linksys router. Normally, network in house is fine at all times. LAN games run fine multiplayer as long as we dont go on to internet.

It might be a stupid question, but did you check the wiring scheme? I know the same thing happened here, and we used a different wiring scheme and prob solved.

Yeah, the only small complication is that theres a hub on the other side of the room with one of the games machines running off it. Ill try direct wiring all three to the router and see.
I need to get three more games machines on the system in a months time for a UT party, so I need to get it working asap. I know tha LANs fine for multiplayer, but you can guarantee we'll end up on the clan site.

I was going to ask if you had a hub in the mix somewhere. Wire the systems direct like you say and see if that helps. It could be that the hub is bogging down because it has to re-brodcast everything on the network for that one computer. If it is try buying a cheap switch.
